Tui Na

Sports Injury Massage

During a sports injury session oils and salves may be used directly on the skin. This may require the patient to remove clothing in order access the injured area. This also prevents damage to clothing.

More importantly the affected muscle groups and joints can be massaged to break down scar tissue and to stop bleeding (due to trauma) tight muscles are relaxed then stretched. The areas worked on are the origin and insertion of the muscle as well as the Channels and Tui Na pressure points.
